Limestone Coast - South Australia - Benson Rise This is a new viticultural region with exciting potential. The climate is rather cool and strongly maritime influenced by the nearby ocean on one side and (at Robe), the lakes on the other. This white wine from Mount Benson is the first ever release of this new, exciting grape variety which is simply a white Cabernet Sauvignon. A quirk of nature meant that what was planted as a Cabernet Sauvignon seedling in 1989 developed into a mature Cabernet vine, but with white grapes.
